SmartCity workshops | September 2008 | Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris | Public presentation: Tuesday 30 September 10am-7pm
First stage of the project SmartCity at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, these construction sites introduce a vast series of artistic experiments in the urban space launched in association with CitéCulture at the Citéternationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP).
Conceived in direct drive with the territory of the Parisian South and its close environment, the city of Gentilly, these workshops result from the dumping of artistic teams on this perimeter, during September.
Coming from varied horizons and from all Europe, speakers (artists, scientists, industrialists, landscape painters) cross their skills and rely on a meticulous work of location and analysis of the territory.

Pioneer of new artistic territories in all disciplines, Emergences follows through this year at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris SmartCity, its artistic programme around the 'intelligent city'.
Emergences 2008 takes place under the sign of the urban activism, in the sphere of influence of the committed troublemakers such as the 'Clan of the Neon', the 'Yes Men', the collective of 'Déboulonneurs' or still the first ones 'Situationnistes'.
An international conference, territorial explorations and construction sites of artistic experiments in urban space are programmed during this rendez-vous that can't be ignored.
